Issaquah Highlands is an Urban Village that has many recreational opportunities, offering expansive spaces, retail, and great public transit.

In 1998 the first residents of Issaquah moved into their homes. Today Issaquah Highlands has over four thousand homes, their own community center, a fire station, Blakely Hall, a hospital and thousands of protected/preserved acres of open space, athletic amenities and park trails.

Issaquah is located in a valley between the Sammamish Plateau and the "Issaquah Alps". Originally developed to assist the mining industry that prospered on the two neighboring mountains. Issaquah is now a modern thriving city surrounded by parks popular with hikers, with captivating historic downtown, esteemed Village Theatre, Cougar Mountain Zoo which takes care of endangered species and the Issaquah Hatchery that helped restore the salmon run on Issaquah Creek. Only a brief drive from Seattle, Issaquah is a popular weekend destination for hikers, paragliders, history buffs and foodies.
